Frdge section sounds like it's cooling but isn't producing cold. Tried unplugging, waiting for ten minutes and plugging back in. No change. Appliance is only 8 mo's old.

If your freezer is working but the fridge is not cooling, there could be a number of potential issues that may be causing the problem. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the temperature setting: Make sure the temperature setting on the fridge is set to a level that is cold enough to properly cool the fridge.
  2. Check the door seals: Check the door seals to make sure they are clean and in good condition. If the seals are damaged or dirty, it can cause the fridge to not cool properly.
  3. Check the condenser coils: The condenser coils are responsible for releasing heat from the fridge. If the coils are dirty or obstructed, it can cause the fridge to not cool properly. Clean the coils with a coil brush or vacuum the coils to remove any dirt or debris.
  4. Check the evaporator fan: The evaporator fan is responsible for circulating air through the fridge. If the fan is not functioning properly, it can cause the fridge to not cool properly. You can check the fan by removing the back panel of the fridge and listening for the fan to start when the fridge is turned on. If the fan is not functioning properly, you may need to replace it.
  5. Check the compressor: The compressor is responsible for circulating refrigerant through the fridge to cool the air. If the compressor is not functioning properly, it can cause the fridge to not cool properly. If you suspect the compressor is the issue, it is recommended to take the fridge to a qualified technician for repair.

If you have tried unplugging the fridge and waiting for 10 minutes before plugging it back in and the issue persists, it is possible that there is a problem with the fridge's cooling system. In this case, it is recommended to take the fridge to a qualified technician for repair.
