Hello olliedog40 – The refrigerator will beep on some models to inform the user that the door(s) has been left opened for longer than 10 minutes and that cool air is escaping. In most cases an audio alarm sounds and the interior lights shut OFF.  This protects the liner from melting due to the heat produced by the light bulbs. The alarm will sound every two minutes until the doors are closed. Once the doors are closed, the alarm is reset.

If the alarm keeps on going off after the doors have been closed, try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart the unit. If issue persists, I recommend scheduling service so a technician can diagnose and repair your refrigerator.
