Stove Burner

I have a burner that will sometimes jump to the high setting while cooking. I can turn it off at the knob for a few seconds, turn it back on med or low or whatever, and it continues to work correctly, sometimes, or it may jump back to wide open hot after a coup,e minutes. Have to constantly watch it if I cook on it. It's not on the recall list from Frigidair. What could be happening

Please review the various solutions at http://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Range-Stove-Oven/14-2--RkVTMzY3RkM=/Frigidaire-Range-surface-Element-won-t-work. Although these are for burners that "don't work," one of the solutions may apply to your issue (concerning your burner that's giving you problems now but eventually might stop working altogether).
