Television Will Not Power On. Red Light On Power Button. Is That Right?

Are you trying to power up from the remote? If so, check the batteries. Actually it might be a good idea to replace the batteries being careful to align with the + - in the battery compartment.
Then try to power on again.
Not knowing which model you have, the next thing to do is to make sue that the correct video input has been selected. You can do that by pressing the INPUT button on the remote (upper row-left side) to open the INPUT SOURCE menu. You navidate with the up/down arrows to highlight and then press enter.
How is your TV connected to receive programs? Antenna, Cable,Satellite, Phone line? How is that connection. If you TV doesn't receive input after several minutes, it goes into standby mode. You might need to check that source connection as well.
Also make sure that there is ventillation and no dust accumulation on the back where you never see that dust.
If you still have a problem and have tried powering on from the power button on the TV as well, it is time to give the folks at Dynex a call.
