Dynex Dx-l32-10a

I have this hdty and every so often when  receiving air broadcast chanels with a good roof antena I get a black screen on most broadcast chanels with no sound. Most all other times I get perfect picture and sound. I press info on the remote and it says I have good signal but still no picture or sound But when I switch over it over to cable and select cable on the chanel menu I get picture and sound. I have a splitter with a switch so I can watch broadcast tv using the roof antena and then when I want to watch cable I flip the switch to the cable side and change the chanel menu to cable instead of air and watch what on cable. I double checked antena, all cables and conections and still the same thing. I hear others with dynex tv's have simular problems.
