Will An Sfp Module That Meets The Msa Standard Work In The Powerconnect 2848?
Does the Dell PowerConnect 2848 meet the multi-source agreement(MSA)? Will a BlackBox LFP412 (SFP, 1250-Mbps Fiber with Extended Diagnostics, 1310-nm Multimode, LC, 2 km) work in Dell PowerConnect 2848 SFP module slots?

I'm not seeing a direct statement that the 2800 model meets the MSA standard. I do see that some of the connectors that are compatible with the switch do have that distinction. I found this Dell connector that is rated for up to 10 km (32808.4 ft). You will probably need a different optical cable.
There is no guarantee that the connector you have referenced will be compatible. It may work just fine. Although it has not been thoroughly tested by Dell.
