Belt Only Contacts Surface To Be Sanded Along One Edge.

My sander is brand-new (out lof the box). The belt installation was a piece of cake and adjusting the tracking was very straight-forward. However, when attempting to sand a surface, the sanding surface does not fully contact the work surface. Rather, it just sands slightly along one edge of the belt. Is there an adjustment for this? Thank you.
