A few questions to start:

What's the currently installed operating system?
Did you make any changes to the notebook?
Do you know if Windows updated recently?

To start troubleshooting, this document may help you: Resolving Blue Screen errors in Windows.

I would recommend first testing the video hardware to ensure nothing is wrong with that, this document may help you: Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7, Vista). From there I'd recommend using the Recovery Manager to restore the drivers to factory default. You can then try updating them from this link:http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=3957669 (select your OS and proceed to downloading the latest available video driver).
