How Do You Do A Refund After The Transaction Is Complete?
I understand how to do a refund during a transaction, but how do you make it so that the journal reflects a full refund after they've paid? Say someone pays me $10.00, and comes back later and they want their $10.00 back. I try to press RF then the amt and the Dept. key. Then what? I can press subtotal, but it won't let me complete a negative transaction if I enter 0.00 as the cash tendered.

If you are refunding the complete sale, just press the payment type that you are refunding after refunding from the department(s) as you have been doing. If you are refunding cash back, press Cash. This will remove the amount from the cash total on the report as well as returning the item to stock and removing the amount from the department total
