Camera A410 Is Dead Due To My Dumb Error...
I wrongly thought the DC Adaptor port was for a remote shutter cord. The shutter cord has a threaded metal end and I tried to insert it in the DC adapter port.
The camera went dead instantly, with the lens extended. The memory card is fine (not locked) and it has fresh AA batteries. The coin battery, CR1220 is not new but had been working just fine up until my dirty dumb deed.
Would anyone know if the camera is fixable? And how?

Sad to say that it is impossible to get your camera fixed unless you know someone who is knowledgeable in repairing cameras. In addition, there is also no replacement parts available for most camera devices. You do not have any choice but to replace your camera with a new one. You can purchase it at Amazon.com.
