What Does Error Code 5c20 Mean?
Upon turn on a clicking/whirring noise comes from the right carriage area of printer.

5C20 error means the carriage is not moving back and forth properly or there is grease on the encoder strip behind the carriage assembly. It looks like a ribbon cable. Grease spots make it loose count and slam into the side and grinds the gears. You need to clean the strip with a Q-tip moist with alcohol, but very carefully, not too much pressure on the strip.
