Canon Pixma Mp610 Suddenly Printing Faint With Lines. Now Telling Me Print Head

is wrong. I have had same print head since I bought the printer some years ago. Is this an obsolescence trick!?

Hi. You will want to try replacing the cartridge(s). Also try and resolve the Incorrect printhead error, by removing and then reseatting all of the ink tanks and print head in the unit. Next, please turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on.
