How To Correct An Error A6 On A Brother 8220?

According to this post on FixYa, the solution to your problem is a new CIS, which costs about $70:

You may want to consider purchasing a new machine rather than taking your chances repairing an old one, especially if there is not a whole lot of difference in cost.
