Troubleshooting

Suddenly my LSWV36 stopped working. Microswitches seem to be working fine, no sign of overheating or scorching. Have checked continuity of on/off switch. Continuity established between NO and COM terminals when switch button is depressed. Continuity established when NC is connected to COM, and is lost when on/off is depressed. Can you please have a member of your technical support team provide troubleshooting assistance?I can be reached by mobile phone or SMS at 519 940 1668.Thanks!

Your first test should be to measure the battery voltage. If that is OK then proceed to the checking on the unit. Identify the power connections to the unit with the battery removed. Connect a multimeter on the ohms range and measure across the terminals. Operate the switch and you should read a value showing that there is a connection from the power terminals through the motor windings. If there is no reading, you then need to follow the wiring through the unit. There is a possibility that a wire has broken inside which will be simple to effect a repair. The unit will only consist of a DC motor with a switch and as an extra maybe a temperature sensor or fuse. This is a basic circuit attached. there may be a control board to vary the motor power which would be before the armature. If that has failed it will need to be replaced or repaired by an electrician knowing about motor controllers.

Hope that solves your problem. Please mark as helpful if it leads you to a satisfactory solution.Thank you.
