Height Adjustment No Longer Latches - Mower Just Falls To Lowest Height.

I've got a BEMW482BH electric corded mower - had it for over a year now, worked fine. But suddenly the plastic mechanism that allows you to raise/lower the deck height doesn't work anymore. If anyone has one and can post a photo of the working latch (the orange handle thing) that might help me understand what happened - if something is out of place or broken. I can't tell and he manual is no help. Its made of plastic so I suppose this is bound to happen eventually...

Refer to this parts diagram and you will see an arm that is attached to a horizontal rod. It may have come apart or has broken.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your BEMW482BH electric corded mower. Unfortunately, as an AI language model, I'm not able to provide images. However, I can offer some general advice that may help.

If the plastic latch mechanism for adjusting the deck height has stopped working, it's possible that a part may have broken or become dislodged. The first thing you should do is visually inspect the mechanism to see if you can identify any obvious issues. If you can't see anything obviously wrong, you may need to take the mechanism apart to investigate further.

To do this, you'll need to consult your owner's manual to determine how to disassemble the mechanism. If you don't have the manual, you may be able to find a digital version online by searching for the model number.

Once you've taken the mechanism apart, examine all of the individual components carefully to see if anything is broken or damaged. It's possible that a small plastic piece may have cracked or snapped, which would prevent the latch from functioning properly.

If you're unable to identify the issue or make the necessary repairs yourself, you may need to take the mower to a professional repair shop or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
