Asus K70ad, Tyoiiv: Disactivating The Touchpad
Hello,,
I have tried every way to disactivate the touchpad but whatever I do, including uninstalling the pilots (!) the touchpad still seems sensitive to any involuntary contact. There is an option "disactivate when using a mouse" but that doesn't help either. It is maddening when trying to type, and I have now resorted to sellotaping a plastic lid over the touchpad, but surely there is a better way?
I would be extremely grateful if anyone has the answer. Thanks!

Looks like what you will have to do to disable the track pad is to press FN and F9 at the same time. That will turn off your track pad.
You can also click on the white up arrow on the lower right and click on the symbol that says elan or looks like a track pad. Right click and select the tab that says elan. There you will be able to stop the device.
