Mac Pro Refuse Flash Read While Windows Aok?

My Mac Pro, c. 2015 vintage, tells me: "The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer" when I've utilized a 100% functional usb drive-128G Sandisk thumb drive combination; additionally, that same Sandisk/USB drive combo reads perfectly in a windows machine. The GPS video software I crave is resident only on the Apple Mac and will never be available on the Windows 'puter. Why won't the Mac read my Sandisk? Both 2.0/3.0 varietals of usb drives were used. Thank you for your input:)Dee

When you put the usb disk in a Windows PC you can look at the properties. Check the format. It is likely that it has been formatted for NTFS which Macs cannot read. It is a common issue and the way round is format for Exfat which both Windows and MacOS will read. Another option is if you have a network you could transfer files via the router from the Mac to Windows. You need to put them on the same network so investigate setting up a network. This is another story which an internet search will explain it fully.

Hope that helps.
