Why Can't I Play Any Dvd On My Mac Laptop?

I have a MacBook Pro 13' that has DVD player. I've had this laptop almost 10 years and I haven't had any problems with it. I have been able to play DVD's on it before but after a couple of years the computer just spits them right out. Was just wondering why

Try using a cleaner specifically designed for DVD drives. The type designed for car players would fit the bill. However if you cannot play DVD's, can you read a CD OK? It may be that your drive has lived its life and you may need to replace the drive. They are available from auction sites and easy to fit.

Well, if it is a 2016 MacBook pro or later version, they basically do not have a DVD port. If it is an older model with a port available, try updating the drivers. This could fix the issue.
