Alpine Ida-x303 Problem With Subs

My Alpine IDA-X303 works well... well it worked well until i bought a pair of 10" subs. i have everything connected well to my Amp and Alpine and subs but my cousin was telling me that my Alpine wasn't sending any signal to the subs. He said that it was a problem with the RCA plug in but i doubt thats what it is. My tweeters work and all but its only the subs that dont receive any signal. I tried messing around with the settings on the Alpine but still no luck. I don't know if i need to buy a specific cable, or if i need to fix the settings or if it simply doesnt work... It's my baby and i need to fix it my all means necessary!!
