The Alpine KCE-422i iPod cable allows you to control an iPod directly from the  2006 & upwards Alpine-CDE9873 stereo BUT it has been discontinued & no longer for sale directly from Alpine because they have different iPod cables for the latest new model Alpine stereos. I would try eBay or other car accessories stores to see if any still carry it.
