No Ipod Option In The Source File.

I have bought a new 9886 stereo, in the source option of the unit, it scrolls 3 options namely, Tuner, CD and USB there is no ipod source. I have purchased the correct cable and connected it to the unit, i havereset both the unit and my ipod, only it still has no Ipod Option in th soruce file !! Help !!!! :(

Make sure you follow the instructions on page 27 of the Owner's Manual. Also be sure you're using a compatible iPod (listed on that same page).
