Upgrades & System Changes Help

how do i take my acer veriton N260G from Windows xp and update it and fully restore the system to windows 7,8,10 from the set-up menu or the bios menu at the start of the reboot of th pc without and hard disk or CD help? Also how do i connect to the internet when it connects to my Sky wireless modem but is stopped by firewall settings and saying port 80 isn't connected amongst other's?

The instructions for updating a PC can be found here. However, if you are trying to do this on the set-up menu or BIOS menu you'll need to have a bootable media like a flashdrive with the image on it. The previous mentioned tutorial linked will show you how to create a creation tool on a USB flashdrive. Other than that I don't know that it will be do-able, attempting to update a PC without accessing the PC can be very difficult with no outside media to boot from.

You will have to turn off your firewall, or allow your browser through it if it is a firewall issue. The port 80 issue may be because there are multiple processes that are attempting to use the port 80. Open a command prompt and type in "netstat -anb" (no quotes). Find what program/process is using port 80. Note the PID number - or process name if it is listed. Open up Windows Task Manager, go to "View" then to "Select/Column" then select "Process ID" and then push "Okay". Finally push end process on the process that matches the PID (and hopefully the process name as well).
