Slot Missing Something

On my Acer aspire 5335 I have a slot right above the SD card slot that looks like it should have something in it but my question is what should be there ...

I've looked at pictures of the laptop and I don't see anything above the SD card slot but my guess is that it's probably an ExpressCard slot. This is an expansion slot for adding 3G/4G cards, sound cards, extra USB ports, etc... You don't NEED to have anything in it.
