Adding Memory

shipped with 2 gig ddr3, opened case to see 2 1 gig cards. Can the machine handle more memory? User manual at Gateway doesn't address the issue.

According to Cnet, your eMachines EL1352G suports up to 4 gigabytes capacity of RAM cards. However, this is only Dual Channel which means that the computer can only recognize 2 RAM cards. It is either 2 pcs 1 Gigabyte / 2 pcs 2 Gigabytes / 2 pcs 4 Gigabytes. You can read the full specs here:
