Monitor Goes Blank

My monitor keeps going blank, but if I push any of the buttons on the bottom of the screen it comes back up but if I let go it goes blank again????/  No idea what to do to keep this from happening.  Checked all the cables and they are all tight. Help!!

This sounds like a defective monitor.

Test it on a second PC to see if anything changes.

If not, return it to the retailer (if under warranty) for replacement.  If the warranty is out it will more than likely be cheaper to just purchase a new one.
