You have to reinstall the Wireless LAN driver software of your eMachines 355 laptop to make it connect to the network wirelessly. If you do not have the installation CD/DVD, you can download it here:
- Atheros Wireless LAN Version 9.1.0.209
- Broadcom Wireless LAN Version 5.100.249.2
- Intel Wireless LAN Version 14.0.1.2
