Will Not Power On

I had the unit on while playing a movie it was working fine had the volume at normal level.15 minutes into the movie the unit shuts off And now it won't come back on.The red light blinks when I try to power it on.I disconnected the speakers to check all the wire are not touching each other and left it unplugged for over an hour.Tried to power it back on the red light still blinking How can this be resolved?What is causing this not to power back on?How can it be reset
