My Monitor Comes On Then Goes Black Screen
my VG2021M monitor flashes on then goes black when i turn it on why

Sounds like a classic case of a defective power supply. The capacitors in these things seem to like to go out.
Repair costs will exceed the cost of a new monitor but it's up to you how you want to proceed. You wont be able to fix this unless you are an electronic tech.
Sounds like it may be time to shop for a new monitor.

THIS happens almost always in the case of LCD monitors just before a part called "the inverter" dies. It is a small, thin, little chip board, aboiut 4, to 7 cm (5inches) in length, about 1/2 inch wide. It inverts voltage from the power supply to the LCD panel. This part CAN BE REPLACED but it is hit and miss. Usually when ordered, there is a good chance that the incorrrect model number will be sent to you. It is IMPERITIVE that when youy order it online, you order the exact correct part. It can be replaced after taking the monitors outer frame apart, and unplugging the old inverter sitting at the bottom of the monitor. It simply plugs in with a small white plug, tiny, and the part itself fastens with a clip, or tape. Good luck! BTW it costs about 12$ to 20$ depending on the model of monitor.
