Viewsonic Vg2021m - 20.1' Lcd Monitor Nothing Appears On Screen.

Hello. My ViewSonic VG2021M - 20.1" LCD Monitor has this kind of problem. When I turn it on nothing appears on the screen, even the words "no signal analog". After a along time pressing repeatedly the power on/off key, the picture finaly appears. So could you help me please resolve this issue. Thanks indeed.

Does it appear to power on?

Have you tried it on a second PC?

Have you tried the digital port AND the analog port?

If the answer is yes to all then the monitor is defective. It will not be cost effective to repair. Your best bet is to pick up a new one.

Sounds like a classic case of a defective power supply. The capacitors in these things seem to like to go out.

Repair costs will exceed the cost of a new monitor but it's up to you how you want to proceed. You wont be able to fix this unless you are an electronic tech.

Sounds like it may be time to shop for a new monitor.
