Greetings - If the computer originally came with Windows 8, you may encounter numerous probles running Win 7 as Win 8 computers has special hardwares that differes from Win 7 computers and you may not be able to get Win 7 drivers for the Window 8 computer's devices (like sound drivers, graphics drivers...). You may not even be able to load Win 7 successfully onto the computer originally desinged for Win 8. If, however the computer did not originally come with Win 8, you can install Win 7 - Just note that direct downgrading will probably not work - the best way will be to insert the Win 7 disc and restart the computer and "Press any key to boot from DVD" when prompted to. Hope this helps

Hope that is helpful.
