52hm84 No Picture, Replaced The Bulb

we bought a new lamp and replaced the bulb, had to buy the door, for the door we had we lost, but it did not come with a screw, but closed the door and made sure it was tight and the safety switch went down, but it will not turn on, it did for a little while for about 10 days. the red light comes on solid and the acts like it is going to turn on, makes a noise and then the green light starts blinking and reset it self and for a few times and nothing happen and it turns itself off.

This noise is the key to why it fails to start up. If it sounds like a loud fan the the color wheel bearings are bad, and if the color wheel cannot spin up to 1800RPM and maintain it within a second or two, the the DMD board will not allow the lamp ballast to start up the lamp so the set will try three times then shut down with a bad lamp indication. If the noise sounds like arcing then either the new lamp has cracked or the ballast circuit is arcing. Pull the lamp again and ensure it isn't broken or not properly seated. If these are OK, then suspect the ballast.

The color wheel is only available in a new optical engine (23405379 lists for $570.00 after the old one is sent back for the $240.00 core and it will include a new ballast), and the ballast lists for $126.16 after the old one is sent back for the $47.00 core, part number 23122468
