Auto Rotate Not Working On My Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Phone

I bought an ATT Samsung Galaxy S4 Active phone that I switched over to Straight Talk. Everything seems to work fine except that I cannot get the auto rotate to work, so I always have to view everything in portrait mode. I have tried downloading several apps that claim to restore that function, but to no avail. Wouls using the phone for Straight Talk cause that issue?
