Str Da3300es Display And Green On Light Does Not Turn On When Starting Up.

Hello. - My Sony STR DA3300ES Green on light and display does not turn on when pressed power button.- Press power on - here clicking, but display and green on button does not turn on. - Tried Resetting by pressing ON/Tone/D something.- Remote power turns on/off, when powered on - shows red when off.- Nothing else works. Dimmer does not brighten it.Have 2 of these both the exact same issue.When working, they were great, so I bought a 2nd one when 1st one shut off. Same issue.Thank you.

Oh - Took top lid off, looked in, and just seen a fuse. Took it out and was blown. Will order and see if that fixes these.

Thanks Technoprice123 for your reply. I tried that generic Sony testing but only applies to unknown recievers. Also read and downloaded the manual but nothing discusses blown fuses, or discusses anything with no Green On light and dead Display. Hopefully the problem is the fuses inside the receiver, which I read on this great site to check, so I did do research... Stay safe and I'll update tomorrow when I try and replace the fuses.

Thanks but their is no USB drive in front, nor back, so it can't update. Found a fuse blown inside the unit, so just waiting to try and see if that will power up the disply and green on button. Thank you for replying and your assistance...

Here are the steps on how to update the firmware and reset the Sony STR-DA3300ES:

To update the firmware:

Go to the Sony support website: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/product/str-da3300es/downloads and download the latest firmware for your receiver.

Create a folder named "UPDATE" on a USB flash drive.

Copy the firmware file to the "UPDATE" folder.

Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port on the front of the receiver.

Turn on the receiver.

Press and hold the "DISPLAY" button on the front panel of the receiver until the "Entering Update Mode..." message appears on the display.

The receiver will automatically start updating the firmware.

Once the update is complete, the receiver will power off.

Remove the USB flash drive from the receiver.

To reset the receiver:

Turn off the receiver.

Press and hold the "STANDBY/ON" button on the front panel of the receiver for about 10 seconds.

The receiver will power on and enter the reset menu.

Use the arrow buttons on the remote control to select "Reset All Settings".

Press the "ENTER" button on the remote control.

The receiver will reset to its factory settings.

It is important to note that updating the firmware or resetting the receiver will erase all of your custom settings. So, make sure to backup your settings before proceeding.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

The firmware update process may take a few minutes to complete. Do not unplug the receiver or turn it off during this time.

If the firmware update fails, try downloading the firmware file again and retry the update process.

If you are still having trouble updating the firmware, contact Sony customer support for assistance.
