I Have A Sony Bdp-s480, Will A Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Usb Adapter Work

Will the Netgear N600 work with my sony machine

Apperently Sony embed[if thats the right word] their own drivers in the unit.. so that only their own very expensive dongle will work. The drivers can't be changed.
