Singer 7469q Confidence Quilter - Beeping Noise And Machine Freezing

I was in the midst of using one of the novelty stitches and all of a sudden the machine locked up, beeped a few times and would not advance. Tried re-threading, on/off, standard stitch, etc. No change. Any ideas as to the cause of the beeping and machine freezing?
