Model Dp42849 No Picture

I have a Sanyo model DP42849 that is around 2 years old.  We were watching it when the picture went out but we still had sound.  I took the back plate off to see what was going on.  When i would turn it off and then back on it would flicker for just a second but would not come back on.  After a half-a-dozen times of turning it off and on it finally came on.  It stayed working for a few days and then the picture and the sound went out.  Any suggestions?
