Cartridge Counter Reset

Hello. We have a Samsung multifunctions fax scx-4828fn. We replaced the cartridge when the machine was flashing toner low. However, after replacing the toner. The flashing message does not go away. It was "toner low" now it's "toner empty" and we just replaced a new toner. Please if anyone know how to fix this let us know. Thank you

I assume you have purchased a Samsung toner cartridge and not a clone item off eBay, or you have not simply refilled an old toner cartridge? If you have an authentic Samsung toner, then you can try to go into the menu and there is an option to "Clear Empty Message". The other way is to obtain a hacked firmware for this model, in which case you can even remove the toner chip and it will still work.

You have to do following :-

(1) Press Menu *#1934#

(2) After this the LCD will show : Fax #

(3) Now press Stop/Clear button to delete this

(4) This will now show Tech. Mode

(5) Now press menu and it will open the options starts with Data Setup

(6) Now press the left side button

(7) Now its a option of New Catridge

(8) Press Enter

(9) Select option ( Yes )

(10) Power off the switch and on the printer again ..

Now your printer will not show toner empty error till the ink will not be low.
