No Sound
everything was working fine but now there is no sound on any of the channels. When you turn the tv on or off you get a sound but again no sound on any of the channels. Everything else is working

I'm not sure if you are using the HDMI input and changing channels on the cable/satellite boxes. So it's possible that the box in the problem (or the service to the box). You should hook up a DVD and try it to see if the TV is working. You may have the audio set to surround, The MTS set to SAP instead of "Stereo", or there is a problem with the audio output stage in the TV (not to likely). I have seen a lot of audio problems posted in the last couple days, and I am starting to think Direct-TV is having problems.
You could reset the TV to "out-of-the-box" by turning it off, hit on the remote [mute], [1], [8], [2], [power]. Then continue to hit [enter or OK] a couple times until it says reset then press it once more. DO NOT CAHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS or you could need a new "main board".
