Samsung Clx-2160 Will Not Scan

Hello, The scanning function has always worked well until now. Now the scanning bar is not moving and there is a sound like a toothed belt slipping. Thanks

Hi! Remove the right sidepanel (the one with the power supply in the back) and disconnect the scanner unit (2 plugs and 1 wiretape). Reconnect and see if it works.
If not, remove right sidepanel again and then the scanner unit (top of printer incl. dashboard) and place it upside down on a table. Open the scanner unit, using a small screwdriver. Firmly take the scanner head all the way to the opposite side and leave it here. Remount all. Then turn the printer on and smile! I did.

PS: NO force is needed. Take a flashlight and find out how to take it apart. It's all quite simple first you find out how things works.

PS 2: Turn off power BEFORE you start working!
