Hi, sc500 on an MP 171 is a main motor overload error. It could be caused by a defective main motor, or it could be caused by something locking up the motor. For example, if you just replaced the PCU and all of a sudden got this error, the PCU may not be aligned correctly, causing the motor to lock up. Try removing and reinstalling the PCU, then turning the printer off and back on. If the error comes back, you may need to have the main motor replaced.
