My Ricoh Cl3500n Broke

Hello,I have a Ricoh CL3500N laser color printer which for the last 4 years worked flawlessly. It's used very scarsely, just for home office needs and proofs (I am an artist). Two months ago when I turned the printer on, all of the toner lights went on with orange color, the POWER, ALERT, and DATA IN lights also were on and the LED display was also lit, but it was showing nothing – just blank. I tried everything: from turning the printer off and on, unpugging the cord for a prolonged period of time – no help. The printer starts as described, goes through klicking and rattling and then everything stays as described. I use 27"iMac with the latest Maverick OS. One more thing – after of month of not being used (but being plugged in the power outlet) the printer came back to life for a short while and after printing a couple of pages, returned to the condition as decrcibed above. Please help!!!Vladimir

Hi, it sounds like there is an error that is preventing the printer from coming on as normal, but since it's not showing up on the screen you can't tell what it is. Try logging into the printer's web interface to see what error code(s) are being registered -- this will help troubleshoot the problem.

To get to the web interface, open a web browser with the printer on and go to the printer's IP address. On the main screen you should see a status description of the printer, which will include what the current error(s) is. (If your printer is connected via USB, you will need to connect it via Ethernet in order to use the web image monitor.)

Once you see the error code(s), post another question here describing what errors are being shown, and we will help you troubleshoot from there!
