How Can The Paper Size Be Adjusted?

Hello, if the paper isn't aligned the way you want it, and changing the paper fences or changing the settings in User Tools doesn't help, you can change the paper registration values in the copier's service menu.

NOTE: Before entering service mode, be very careful not to adjust any values that you are not familiar with. You can down the whole copier just by changing some numbers. It's best to have a Ricoh-trained technician adjust service mode settings.

To enter service mode, press the yellow Clear button, then 1-0-7, then hold down the red Stop button for about 5 seconds. The screen will change to a menu.

Select the first option, System/Copy SP Mode. The options for the paper tray settings are under the 1xxx section, so tap that section to expand it. Scroll through the options until you see the paper registration settings for the tray you want to change. Adjust the settings, save them (by pressing # after typing the number and tapping OK at the bottom, then tap Copy Mode at the top of the screen and make a test copy to see if the tray registration is better. Keep adjusting until the values are aligned with how you think they should be.

Note that when you make copies in service mode, there will be lines across the page. Be sure to go back into service mode (with the Copy SP button at the top of the copy screen) and exit out when you are finished.
