These instructions show you how to change your default printer in Windows XP. The instructions will be pretty much the same for newer versions of WIndows as well (some of the wording might be a little different).
If your computer won't let you change the default printer, try restarting the print spooler, and if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the print driver.
