Make sure that the receiver is getting power. Check the power cord to make sure that it is plugged in properly and that the outlet is working.
Try resetting the receiver. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. This will reset the receiver to its factory settings.
Check the fuses. The receiver may have a blown fuse. If so, you will need to replace the fuse.
Check the capacitors. The capacitors in the receiver may be bad. If so, you will need to replace the capacitors.
If you have checked all of these things and the receiver is still turning off, then you may need to contact Pioneer customer support for help.
Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting the Pioneer VSX-822-K receiver:
Try connecting the receiver to a different power outlet.
Try using a different power cord.
Try connecting the receiver to a different input source.
Try updating the receiver's firmware.
I hope this helps!

First, it's worth checking if the receiver is getting enough airflow to prevent overheating. Dust or blocked ventilation can sometimes cause devices to shut down to protect themselves from damage. Make sure the area around the receiver is clear and that it has proper ventilation.
If you have any accessories connected to the receiver, try disconnecting them and then starting the receiver to see if the issue persists. Sometimes a faulty accessory can trigger automatic shutdown.
Another thing you can try is performing a factory reset if your receiver supports that option. This can help if there's a software glitch causing the problem.
Additionally, check if there are any firmware updates available for your receiver. Sometimes a software update can fix unexpected behavior.
If none of these steps work, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They might have more specific troubleshooting steps tailored to your receiver model. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting on your own, it's a good idea to consult with a professional technician who can help diagnose and fix the issue.
