Can't Make A New Klipsch Soundbar Work

I have a Pioneer Elite 1150HD from 2008. Thing still has an awesome picture, but sound is weak and wanted to upgrade with a Soundbar. Unfortunately, no sound comes across. I've tried optical cable and RCA cables, but it seems the audio setting is the issue. I've sound a setting under Menu>Options>Digital audio out, that says it is set to Dolby Digital. Looking online it says to try to swap this setting to PCM (despite my Soundbar being set up for Dolby Digital), but this setting is greyed out and it will not let me change it.I am out of options for what I know, so wondering if a factory reset might get this setting Available to change Any thoughts?
