Can I Control The Panasonic Wv-cs 584 Camera Directly From The Pc

Hi,how can I control the Panasonic WV-CS 584 camera directly from the PC without using the Joystick or VDR. Is that possible?The camera is 24V AC powered and connected the PC through a RS 485 converter to USB. this means that I have connected the camera output which is RS485 to USB port of the PC by using a converter.the windows is 7 and the converter made is from well known BB electronics.Any body have a clue how to control the camera from the PC?Is there any third party software to do that which can be installed on the PCMany thanks in advance for your assistanceEmRegards

Bit of a minefield this one as most systems use a joystick etc. However I have found some information which may help. It is technical, but at the end of the document they offer software which may do what you want. Hyperterminal is another option.
