Tool Storage Cover

I just received a MC-CG917 vacuum. The tool storage cover does not open completely. It only opens about 2 1/2 inches making it almost impossible to get tools out.

Here is the owners manual' download it and try to find some instructions on the manual to open the cover. If the instructions from the manual can not lead you to open the cover, do not force open since it might be broken or stuck' it will be wise to send the product back for exchange or service.
