Starting And Stopping During Knead Cycle.

Is it normal for the breadmaker to stop momentarily and then start again while kneading?  It has done that at least four or five times while mixing and kneading dough.  The dough ball does not seem too wet or too dry.... it looks perfect in fact.  I just don't know what's causing the motor to stop.

Starting and stopping during kneading is quite common in most bread machines. This helps assure the dough is not over-kneaded, and to make the dough ball perfect, like you are seeing.
