There are two versions of this phone. One for Europe with GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 and one for USA and Canada with GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900.

If you had bought it in Europa, you cant use it in USA.
And you need to choose right network operator, that uses GSM technology, not CDMA.
