Turn Mic Off On Lenovo Ideapad Flex

how do I mute the mic on a lenovo ideapad flex please

thanks for the reply, I have tried that and options are to mute speakers or mute sound systems, running windows 8 and would like to be able to mute the mic whilst on skype so other person can't hear me talking (if I was on phone as well for example)

Go to your task bar & click on the sound icon, find your mike volume control & click mute: that should do it.
